*Terms & Conditions of Hire for 2L Productions
1. Agreement Overview
This Hire Agreement ("Agreement") is between 2L Productions (also known as 2L DJs, Dhol Division, 2L Entertainments, Bhangra Mascots, and dhol-players.com) and the party named on the contract ("the hirer"). This Agreement is governed by the following terms and conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing by both parties. "2L Productions" refers to all related entities, including staff, equipment, and properties owned or hired by 2L Productions.
2. Deposit and Cancellation
A minimum deposit of 50% of the total hire cost is required at the time of contract signing, unless a reduced amount has been agreed. In some cases, full payment may be requested upfront. Payments can be made in cash (GBP) or by cheque payable to "B. Tak." If the hirer cancels more than two weeks after signing the contract, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made within two weeks of signing will result in a full refund unless the cancellation occurs within seven days of the event, in which case the full balance is due. All payments must be made within 14 days of cancellation. Non-payment will result in legal action.
3. Final Payment
If a partial payment is accepted at contract signing, the remaining balance must be paid at least four days before the event in cash or 14 days before the event by cheque. Failure to make this payment on time grants 2L Productions the right to terminate the contract, including the right to leave the event venue without providing any services. If payment is not made by the event date, a daily late fee of £10 will apply until the full payment is received.
4. Conduct and Abuse
2L Productions reserves the right to cease all services and remove equipment if any form of abuse, conflict, or violence occurs during the event. In such cases, 2L Productions will not be held financially responsible and the hirer remains liable for the full booking fee. Legal action may be pursued in the event of non-payment or damage to 2L Productions' property.
5. Accidental Damage
2L Productions will not be held liable for accidents or circumstances that prevent them from performing. If any equipment or property belonging to 2L Productions is lost, damaged, or stolen during the event, the hirer is responsible for covering the costs of repair or replacement. Payment is due within 14 days of receiving the bill. Non-payment will result in legal action and an additional £1,000 fine to cover legal expenses.
6. Overtime Charges
If the event exceeds the booked time, an additional charge of £50 per half hour will apply. This fee must be paid before the overtime begins. Failure to pay will result in 2L Productions packing up and leaving the venue. Overtime charges can be negotiated with the performers on the day of event, prior to the start of any overtime.
7. Breach of Contract
2L Productions may terminate the contract if any terms are breached. If termination occurs during the event, the hirer is still responsible for the full payment.
8. Access and Loading
The hirer must ensure safe and accessible loading areas for 2L Productions' equipment and personnel. If equipment needs to be moved up stairs, an additional £50 per floor will be charged. Free parking must be provided for all 2L Productions vehicles. Any additional costs incurred on the event day must be covered by the hirer.
9. Responsibility for Damages
The hirer is responsible for any costs arising from damage, injury, or loss caused by themselves, their guests, or service providers to 2L Productions, its staff, or property.
10. Proof of Postage
2L Productions does not accept proof of postage as proof of delivery. The hire application is only valid if fully completed and returned with payment within 14 days of the issue date. 2L Productions reserves the right to reject any application without providing a reason.
11. Contract Modifications
2L Productions reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of this agreement due to new legislation, regulations, or internal policies. Any changes will be communicated to the hirer.
12. External Performances
During the event, the performance area will be controlled by 2L Productions. The hirer must inform 2L Productions of any other acts performing on the same day. A £50 surcharge will be applied for each additional act using 2L Productions' equipment.
13. Stage Requirements
The hirer must ensure a safe performance area of at least 5 meters by 2.5 meters, with two double power points on a 30-amp mains ring. If space is insufficient or certain equipment cannot be used, the hirer is still liable for the full payment.
14. Changing Facilities and Refreshments
Clean, private changing facilities must be provided for 2L Productions. A 15-minute refreshment break will be taken during the performance. The hirer is responsible for providing food and drinks for the 2L Productions crew.
15. Licensed Venue Requirements
The hirer is responsible for ensuring that the venue is suitably licensed and equipped with adequate power supply and an onsite technician. 2L Productions will not be liable for delays caused by venue power failures.
16. Service Amendments
In the event of staff injury, equipment failure, or other unforeseen circumstances, 2L Productions reserves the right to modify or remove services without prior notice. Alternative arrangements or discounts may be offered at the discretion of 2L Productions.
17. Performance Timing
2L Productions requires at least 120 minutes to set up equipment before the event's scheduled start time. The hirer must ensure access to the venue accordingly.
18. Health and Safety
The hirer is responsible for providing 2L Productions with full access to the venue at least two hours before and after the event. Any venue restrictions related to fire or health and safety must be communicated to 2L Productions.
19. Venue Suitability
If incorrect or omitted venue details are provided, and the venue is deemed unsuitable, the booking will be canceled immediately, and the hirer will be notified.
20. Pyrotechnics
The hirer is responsible for ensuring that pyrotechnics are allowed at the venue and for notifying the venue management. 2L Productions will not be held liable for any issues arising from pyrotechnics use.
21. Tips and Gratuities
All tips earned during the performance belong to 2L Productions. The hirer may purchase the tips for an additional £100 at the time of contract signing. 2L Productions is not responsible for the amount of tips collected during the event.
22. Song Requests
Song requests must be provided to 2L Productions at least 14 days before the event, with a maximum of 20 song titles. Additional requests may be considered at the discretion of 2L Productions. Non-use of requested songs will not result in liability.
23. Fees and Refunds
Any additional surcharges and fees may be reduced or waived at the discretion of 2L Productions. Refunds may be provided as credit notes or cash, also at the discretion of 2L Productions.
